1st off, if you want to call us and tell us the situation you have before you file a claim, we're here and you do have a free consultation!
Secondly, here's where we are going to be real! Some contractors are known for being good and sometimes even being bad. In the insurance realm, the contracting company you choose to use DOES matter! We see it all the time. Some can be known to advise property owners to file a claim when they have no reason to do so, or they "play the numbers" by calling in 50 claims and being happy if only 2 are approved, or they can even be known for causing vandalism. When the adjuster sees "that" company's name being involved (there are several that fits the "that" category), at times they do decide right then how things are going to go. You can have a legit need for a claim, but in the adjuster's mindset, it just isn't there.
Since we have been licensed and local since 2021, we get calls all the time having to straighten a claim out when things go awry just because "that" company is involved. We have also seen 1st hand that most contractors have earned the reputation that precedes them. We won't name the good and bad. That's not us. If that were to be the case, we would have a section here with lists of "good vs bad". We won't do that. Who you choose to use is up to you.
The past few years, when "that" contractor calls us asking for assistance, we abruptly tell them to kick rocks. This season we aren't turning ANY property owner away! We are telling the contractor to have you call us directly. It doesn't matter if the claim is barely above your deductible or the claim exceeds $20,000,000.00, you will not hear us say we aren't willing to be there to help you. We may see that we just walk you over a hurdle or see a need for our involvement. We do not take on claims unless we see a true need to be involved.

Homeowners pay A LOT yearly for their insurance premiums. Between cars, home, and health, annual premiums can reach well over $1,000 a month! When you spend money continually for policy coverages, most people think that if they have a justifiable problem there will not be any issues. Unfortunately, most carriers make it harder every single year!
Insurance carriers are known for using a variety of tactics to control cost amounts and reduce payments on justified claims. This could include denying coverage for valid claims, delaying payments and using their many lawyers to defend their actions in court. What’s worst than this is, most policyholders don’t know enough about the insurance claims process to spot these situations and take the proper steps to protect themselves early on. This unfair balance of power creates a perfect scenario for bad faith and unfair claim practices.
This is where you have options! The insurance carriers have an adjuster to watch out for their best interests, SO SHOULD YOU! Are all insurance adjusters bad? ABSOLUTELY NOT; however, there are many more bad adjusters out there than good!
It is much easier to bring a Public Adjuster in at the beginning than after there are issues. Oftentimes, a Public Adjuster can spot when there's a lurking problem and meet it head on.
1 of 2 things are usually shown fairly quickly once the inspection has been performed. 1. The adjuster is of ethical merit and will process the claim as they are legally bound to do. Or, 2. They will show that they are a puppet of the carrier and will do absolutely anything the carrier advises them to do.
#2 Has no business handling claims. That is when we bare our fangs. Each claim is handled initially with If you want someone timid and is a peacekeeper, you may want someone else. That is OK!
