Why go with a roofer supported by a licensed Public Adjuster
#1 Reason is that by law, a roofing service provider can not assist with a claim!
Would you go to a veterinarian if you need medical assistance? NO! The same goes for assistance with an insurance claim. The insurance carrier has their licensed professionals watching for their interests, and they are seasoned trained true professionals! You need someone to meet them on the same platform and watch out for YOUR interests! Contractors (usually salesmen equivalent to a used car salesman) acting as licensed Public Adjuster is #1 ILLEGAL and #2 not properly providing the assistance you require. The carrier adjuster may talk with your contractor as a courtesy, but when things become a battle they can and will stop speaking with them!

Did you recently suffer storm damage? "Storm Chasers" are out in full force! 1. They aren't licensed to solicit an insurance claim. That is for Public Adjusters to do. 2. They can not LEGALLY aid or assist with a claim. Again, that is for the licensed PROFESSIONALS! Why you ask? Because adjusters do not have to speak with them and most times they have THEIR interests at heart, and not yours where it should be!

When a 3 tab shingle has storm damage, a tab can look like this. It can also look like this when someone intentionally flips a tab to cause that line across. Did a storm cause this or a "professional" going door to door? Most policies will cover vandalism; however, some carriers are writing exclusions for vandalism!
Hail Damage
Hail damage can be a fun argument to have! Most times, hail can be agreed on when the people inspecting have a history of storm reporting. HOWEVER, (as most Storm Chasers like to solicit work) blistering can be named damage from hail and no one untrained will know a difference! If someone attempts to play "call 50 claims in and we're happy with 5 being approved" to advise you to call a claim in, a denied claim DOES reflect on your claim history!
Wind Damage
Wind damage is worse than hail damage. Where hail damage breaks a shingle down over time, wind damage is immediate. Wind damage is also more likely to leak a lot sooner than hail.
